On Thursday evening of the 25 April I cycled home happily, having just attended a Common Ground workshop organised by The 3 Million in Ardwick, Manchester. This was a very enjoyable affair, getting into conversation with various other EU Citizens from different European countries, discovering shared ideas in a very friendly and energising way.
The Common Ground workshops are part of the EU Citizens‘ Manifesto that will be launched online on Europe Day on 7th Day.
Join members of the EU Citizens‘ Campaigns Network, representing grassroots EU communities across the UK, and the team at the3million to hear about the results of our „listening and outreach campaign“ held over the past few months, which involved hundreds of EU citizens of all backgrounds.
Learn more about the 4 priority themes that emerged and that will be featured in our EU Citizens‘ Manifesto for Change:
- Exercising Rights under the EU Settlement Scheme and UK-EU Withdrawal Agreement: resolving ongoing challenges
- A fair, compassionate and efficient immigration system for everyone
- Anti-racist systems: Equity among EU citizens, standing against racialisation and discrimination
- Promoting EU citizens‘ representation and participation in British society
Find out about the concrete policy proposals and campaigns that we will collectively be putting to all UK political parties ahead of the upcoming UK General Election in order to positively influence decision-makers and improve the lives of our communities as a result.
In a nutshell, join us to become part of the journey whereby the millions of EU/EEA citizens and their family members who call the UK their home come together to build power and secure change!
A detailed agenda will be shared closer to the date to all registered attendees. There will be opportunities not only to listen to stories and presentations, but also to reflect and discuss in smaller Breakout groups.
